Mr.Bear actually asked me if Valentine’s Day is on the 14th every year….He thought it was the same day but that it changed dates every year. Hmmm….hence the reason he booked his flight to California for work ON VALENTINE’S DAY, but did not realize the significance!
I can’t wait to sit at home by myself ALONE that night in my bed with a bag of Jelly Bellies (that I prob bought myself) and watch crappy CW. I will probably go to Taco Bell too… just because I will be too depressed to cook in my kitchen alone. I just can’t wait!
IF HE ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT VALENTINE’S DAY…. I would ask for one of the following…

My birthday is only 4 days before Valentine’s Day, so we usually lay pretty low, too. I do love that “I love you to the moon and back” sign, though!

Oh dear… well, it can be lovely but… too often disappointing, I think. Maybe because the real reason for the day was exploited and ignored from the very beginning…? We humans are funny about things like that.
Anyway… I think you should get that Home Plate for the two of you…for when he comes home!
Blessings!

Ummm so guess who’s ALSO going to be alone this Valentine’s Day? Yup, this girl. Russ has a rotation booked and will be gone for an entire MONTH. Pretty sure I should just go get a box of wine to get me through that. Oh and lots of Thai take-out and chocolate. *sigh*

Sorry that you will be alone on Valentine’s night. I love all the signs. Have you thought about making a wine cork board. From what I hear they are fairly simple to make. I am saving all my corks to make a wreath out of them. I saw one in a Christmas tour of homes and it was so neat. Plus Im having a ton of fun drinking all the wine to get the corks I need. I’m new to your blog but I look forward to reading more.

I will be right there with you – alone.
Obviously seeing as my bfriend is ummmmmm 3000 miles away.
I will buy me some jelly bellies, and perhaps some other assortment of crappy food for myself. I might even cry and feel sorry for myself – apparently I am super good at doing that!!
*Hugs* to you! I will join your pity party!

I love the signs! And I will be alone, too. The boy will be out of town for work. Let’s just think of it as a great time to catch up on all our girly TV!

I love those signs! They are all great. Thanks for including mine. I tried to hint to my man about Valentine’s day. But, I doubt he got the hint. We’ll probably just go out to his favorite place to eat for dinner. At least it’s something

My husband will be out of town for work as well, but we aren’t really into Valentine’s so it’s not a big deal to me.
Don’t let it bum you out. Think of it as a chance to eat shitty food and watch movies he would never want to see.

Thanks so very much for highlighting my painted “home” plate on your blog!! xoxoxox I really do appreciate it! So happy to have found your blog, too. I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 25.5 years – still happy to be with him, even though he’s horrible about Valentine’s Day gifts! I must admit that he has gotten better about getting me a small something for Valentine’s Day in recent years.

What fun fun funnn things to decorate the house! I especially love the cork black board. We have been collecting corks hoping to do something like that! What a great idea!
