Growing up I always received a little treat on Valentine’s Day from my parents. Whether it was Sweet Tart hearts (my favorite), a new book, or a pink and red sock bouquet, gifts for kids on Valentine’s Day can be thoughtful and inexpensive.
Here is a fun free Valentine’s Day gift for kids:
Write compliments for your child on 14 paper hearts. You can paste one heart a day on their door for the month leading up to Valentine’s Day. Or fold each heart up and place them inside of a mason jar. Then give the jar to your child!
I often prefer homemade gifts because they are more sentimental and less wasteful. However, sometimes your children really NEED something and now is a great time to buy it. One year I bought my girls rain boots for Valentine’s Day because they needed a new pair! Other fun needs: a pink/red toothbrush, water bottle for school, or bath products!
