I’ve been watching Ailey experience autumn for the first time on her own and it’s pure magic. From the way she marches through the leaves with confidence to the curious glimmer in her eye while looking at an acorn to the giggles that escape while watching a squirrel bury nuts in the backyard, are the little moments I hope I never forget.
Ailey has established herself a little routine, where as soon as she gets up in the morning she starts to follow us around the house with her moccasins saying “Buh Bye,” until we put them and take her outside to play. If she could put her own shoes on and open the door, we would probably find her frolicking to her fairy garden. Or maybe just taking a stroll up the street…
At 14 months old, Ailey is all about exploration. She is into everything. Her incredible curiosity gets her into trouble as we often find her tasting markers, licking the toilet bowl, or playing in the cat litter. We are all astounded by the level of her wonderment as exemplified with her new, “WOAH!” face.

Ailey’s favorite shoes are most definitely her Freshly Picked moccasins. I’m not even exaggerating, as the girl has about 8 pairs to choose from since her sister wore them too.
