Gahhh anyone else feel like a looney toon the Monday after a holiday break? We came back from Tennessee on Sunday and I felt like I was coming down with a cold, so I barely got anything done. Monday came and went in a blur and we still have our suitcases half open in the middle of the bedroom. I’ll pay someone in wine to come do our laundry and put everything away…
Our Thanksgiving break was spent in Tennessee with my husband’s side of the family. Unfortunately most of the trip was spent taking care of a sick crabby Ailey. She had a 104.6 fever Tuesday night, screamed almost the entire day Wednesday, threw the ultimate tantrum on Thanksgiving, and ended up at the pediatrician Friday morning. They said she was finishing out a bout with HFM (Hand Food Mouth) after discovering lesions in the back of her throat. I felt so bad for our little miserable girl… as well as my my in-laws who didn’t get to see her real personality shine through until the last day.
We celebrated Annabelle’s birthday with her Nana and Grandpa on Friday night. She was spoiled with so many presents, an adorable princess cake, and lots of hugs and kisses. The mermaid costume was a Black Friday find at a local boutique … it is SO cute and she looks way too old for me in this picture below. I don’t know how she is about to turn 4 but this year might be the hardest of all birthdays so far for me… slow down life just a little please.
Ailey might be the one who always has to do something silly in a photo or find a way to mess it up. Annabelle has been a poser for quite some time and Ailey… she just doesn’t give any you know whats.
So here’s to Tuesday, which is hopefully a great day home with the girls and not a hot mess. Oh and if you decide you want to come help unpack and with laundry, I’ll love you forever.

Wow, you’re right, Annabelle looks so grown up! We’re in the same boat, our little girl is turning 4 and I can’t even believe it!
