Happy Friday! Did you know we are going to see a Full Harvest Moon on Friday the 13th for the first time in 11 years tonight? It’s crazy to think it will be another 30 years before anyone sees another. I am very excited for the weekend ahead (even though Annabelle is home sick from school today).
September Friday Favorites | Fall Trends
Every year I have mixed feelings about the trends for fall. In French Girl Style for Fall I’m on board with fall florals and neutral turtlenecks, but not feeling the leather and animal print. I always lean towards classic styles over what’s trendy. I’m loving this dress, this dress, and this dress!
I borrowed this dress from Rent the Runway Unlimited and wish I could keep it. It’s beyond gorgeous and perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.

Our Weekend Plans
We had a few unseasonably warm days this week but the forecast looks perfectly fall-ish this weekend. On Saturday I hope to take the girls apple picking and then teach them how to make apple crisp. Apple desserts are my favorite year-round, not just during the fall. Then on Sunday, my family is celebrating my nephew’s 18th birthday with a taco party. I can’t believe he is 18!
My September Birthday Wishes
On September 24 I am turning 34 years old. Every year I make a birthday wish list like a little kid because my husband and Mom actually use it. Here are a few things I’m wishing for when I blow out the candles on my birthday apple pie.
Other items on my wish list: a new camera lens, these wine glasses, a wallet, and a mani/pedi. Do you make birthday wish lists?
Fall Front Porch Decor
I’ve been holding off on the fall front porch decor until I buy Mums from the local farm, but this week it’s happening! Did you know the best Mums are those that haven’t bloomed yet? Here is a peek at our decor last year:
We have two rocking chairs on the front porch now, so I will be rearranging my lanterns. I’ll share the finished product next week!
