I received my Flower Proposal from my florist and can’t decide if I should provide my own colored table linens (our reception site already sets the tables in white) OR if I should pay the extra to have her handle it…
She envisions apple green linen with apple red runners on the guest tables. There is a tall vase for a bouquet, and a small square vase filled with floating flowers – all of the flowers are red and green. There are votive candles scattered on the tables. She also envisioned apple red chair covers with apple green chair ties.
I envision white table linens and apple green runners. I also wanted to pick the shade of green that goes on the table. As for the chairs – I hadn’t thought about them yet, but I don’t want my reception to look like a Christmas party in October at the beach.
I was thinking to save money I may provide the runners for the tables – does anyone know if this is actually a budget conscious choice??
Also, does anyone have suggestions as to what colors we could do on our chair covers?

I personally love the idea of white table cloths, apple green runners, and a plain wooden or white chair (for some reason I’ve always had an aversion to chair covers). I don’t know what kind of chairs your venue supplies, but you can rent white wooden folding chairs for usually under 3 bucks a piece.
We were going to rent chairs for our reception but it didn’t end up fitting into our budget. Luckily, the ones our venue provides are a khaki beige color and Chelsea (of frolic) helped tie that color into our palette. You could always think of that option!
It’s fate! Check out what Chelsea posted today:

Oh, how I love gingham, green, and white!
You’re right about the whole Christmas thing…it’d have to be the “right” shades of green and red. As far as being a budget conscious decision (on providing your own runners)…I would start looking and pricing them out right now. You might find the runners that you like are expensive in the long run and might become useless after the wedding:) Hope you’re having a good week.
