Kids say the funniest things. Today I’m sharing questions to ask your ten year old on her birthday. We asked our ten year old Annabelle 30 questions about her favorite things and growing up.

First of all, I can’t believe Annabelle is 10 years old. Every video I watch and photo I find of her in the last ten years feels like it happened yesterday. Annabelle has grown and changed so much in the last year (let alone 10 years!).

More about a Ten Year Old’s Favorite Things
Annabelle is an incredible little girl with a huge, but not always loud, spirit. She can go from quiet and reserved to bubbly and animated in seconds. She loves to laugh and be silly, but at the same time can be serious when necessary. Unless she has a fit of the giggles – then she’s done for.
This is Annabelle’s 8th year of dance and fourth year of competitive company dance. She loves dance more and more every season, but it feels like her love has grown immensely since she started contemporary. She’s been determined to learn how to do a few tricks (headstand, back walkover) and practiced all summer long. She also works very hard on her tap steps every week.
Annabelle’s fondness for school and learning is still going strong. She enjoys all of her subjects and will tell you she is best at math. However, Annabelle really excels in language arts (just ask her teachers!). She loves reading and will stay up late to finish a good book. This is her first year in the STEP program for talented and gifted students – she adores the class. She’ll be building an invention for an invention convention in the spring! Annabelle stepped out of her comfort zone to run for Treasurer of the school’s community service club. Unfortunately she lost the election but showed grace and poise afterwards.
Annabelle is whimsical and wonderful. She’s a lover of animals and will tear up if something dies or gets hurt. She also favorites Taylor Swift, kitty cats, and baking shows. She’s still imaginative, enjoys playing with dolls, and believes in everything magical.
She is the world’s best big sister (most of the time) and takes care of Arbor in such a motherly way. She tries to mother Ailey too, but they both prefer to be together when it’s strictly sister playtime. Annabelle is a great role model and we are so proud of how she watches out for her family.
