I am asking YOU to send him the same. Please take the time to say a prayer, or if that’s not your thing – send your most positive energy, his way today. He has overcome many obstacles set before him in his life and this is another that has come in his path he is going to not let effect him. Brian has worked in a hospital since he graduated high school to pay his own bills.
To quote my mom, “When I say he is a fantastic person, I am not exaggerating. He is the boy you want to be your son, the grandson that every Noni dreams of, the guy who your daughter brings home and you hope she marries.” I will add to my mom’s quote: Brian is the kind of guy who is: your best friend, the one who makes you feel safe when you are scared, the one who will beat up anyone who hurts you, and the one who can always make you laugh when you are sad, the one who stands by you when no one else will.
Brian has proved to be the strongest person I know. He underwent the most intense MRI I could ever imagine last week to test the tumor in his brain. Imagine being awake 6 hours with a steel rod from your groin, up your spine, into your brain and having to complete cognitive tests while doctors shut off parts of your brain….that’s what he experienced. And while he came out saying it was awful, he walked away with his fists raised, head held up, saying, “I will beat this. I can do this. I will be okay!”
So take a second today to send some love, strength, prayers, or well wishes to Brian. If not for me, then for him. He deserves it.
Brian will be in my prayers. I pray for your family to have the strength to handle whatever the outcome may be. Brian will be in His hands. I pray for you to not be nervous and believe that everything will work out. Thinking of you all. xoxo
