When I made the decision to go back to work, it was because I wanted to be able to contribute financially to my family. Funny thing is that I didn’t know it would actually cost us more a month in some areas for me to go back to work. Annabelle’s “baby school” requires each family to provide diapers, wipes, baby food, and crib sheets for their child enrolled. We have to keep our supply stocked at all times! That means we are buying double everything. Thankfully, Parent’s Choice Diapers at Walmart are the best value diaper brand around. #BabyDiapersSavings #CollectiveBias
Packing Annabelle’s bag for “baby school” can be quite the chore. I have to remember milk, bottles, food pouches, snacks, wipes, crib sheets, face/hand wipes, and most importantly – diapers – all labeled with her name so they don’t get mixed up with the other baby’s items. Every morning I must remember Annabelle’s baby school bag, ANNABELLE, my school bag, my lunch bag, and my breast pump. That’s a lot to be responsible for at 6 o’clock in the morning.
I started packing Annabelle’s baby school bag at night so I’m not running around like a madwoman before dawn. If I pack her bag at night, I am more awake and less likely to forget something. I also like to be ready in the a.m., so we can spend time playing together before school. We laugh and giggle for 20 minutes and then grab our bags and go!
Parent’s Choice Diapers at Walmart are very absorbent (which little Miss Annabelle needs for baby school) and so inexpensive. Please reference here to find all of the Walmarts that carry the new and improved Parent’s Choice diapers. They are located in same aisle as all of the diapers and at first glance, you can see how popular they are! They carry the type that we love for Annabelle too – 12 hour protection diapers in size 3.
My husband and I feel like our wallets are a little heavier now that we’ve been saving on baby school supplies. It is hard to have to buy two of everything for ONE baby, so I always look for coupons on top of great deals when I am out shopping. I really love that I can print coupons online – right now you can save $1.50 on one Parent’s Choice Diapers Jumbo Bag or Box with this coupon here.
I know it is only going to get more difficult packing baby school bags when Annabelle is in REAL school – and we have another little baby H running around our ankles in the mornings. I am going to continue looking for ways to simplify our lives – by saving money or time – so I can soak up as much Mommy/Baby time as I can! Now that I am a working Mom, it’s important to cherish every little moment we get together.
