Then a few weeks ago, the home of a resident in our town burned down while the family was out to eat. My family never thought about what would happen if there was an emergency when we aren’t home! Thankfully there is a way to be alerted if something happens when you’re not home with the Onelink Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide alarm and OneLink Home App.
The Onelink Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide alarm is a 2-in-1alarm that protects against the threats of smoke and carbon monoxide. It will notify you if something is not right in your home, whether you are home or away. through the OneLink Home App on your phone.
Easy to Install
We installed the Onelink Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide alarm in our bedroom in a matter of minutes. It is so easy to install – all you need is a drill, screwdriver, and the instructions. Our alarm is battery powered, but there is also a hardwire option with battery backup in case of a power outage. I wanted to install this particular alarm in our master bedroom by the door which usually remains open. We spend a lot of time in our master bedroom as it where we work from home.
Note: The alarm doesn’t have to be placed on the ceiling where we installed ours. It should be 4 inches from the wall, towards the center of the room if possible. If you want to install it on a wall, it should be no further than 12 inches from the ceiling.
Easy to Use
When you turn the alarm on for the first time, you can sync it to the OneLink Home App on your phone. You will see a series of colors and hear the alarm run through a series of tests. On the App you can see when the alarm was last checked and the status of the battery and Wi-Fi.

So cool! I am going to have to look into this. My oldest had a traumatizing event in school involving a fire alarm so she is scared of them. While it has gotten better, I love that I can show her how it is working via the app which may help her anxiety about it a little more.
