How can the long/maxi skirt be a trend for everyone??
I have SHORT legs… and have tried to wear long skirts… and I look like a clown. The only people who look good in long skirts are tall people or short people with long legs.
Yah this is cute… but notice she is wearing platforms too. And she is a model with super duper long legs. Her skirt is so long she needed an extra boost. Hence, it would not work on average people.
Olivia Palermo’s skirt was probably custom tailored for her… cause I know she isn’t an amazonian.
Now I know she is short… and look at how the skirt makes her look even shorts. Even the people are her look shmall. I especially despise this tiered long skirt… it would make my hips look huge.
Do you own a maxi skirt? What are your thoughts?
Totally agree with you! I have long legs, but my hips are the biggest part of me- so these make me look huge! I end up looking very wide, and very stumpy. As a girl at 5’7″ I wonder how anyone wears this! I feel like you have to be either super curvy and wear a maxi, or have a boyish figure for it to work. As for me- I have tried it on many a time in the store- and I do not see hope in this one for me! I’m so with you!
I have yet to even try the Maxi dress…not to mention just the skirt. I’m on the shorter side too and I’m afraid I’ll look even shorter with the skirt…and I don’t want to have to wear platforms with it, either. They DO look really comfortable, though…
I am with you. I am a shorty and the maxi dresses/skirts are very cute, but they just don’t work on me 🙁
I can’t wear long skirts either, and I have long legs! I feel your pain with this style. But I’m still not quite sure how I feel about it…

You are absolutely right! Only certain women can pull this off. I do not own one because I would look like an oompa lumpa. lol
I’m a shorty (5’2″) and I definitely wouldn’t wear one. That being said, I’ve never tried one on. But my friend is the same height, and she wears them well. Guess everyone is different?
I have short muscular legs and cannot pull of the maxi look, at all. I want this trend to go away!
