I know it’s a day late, but I figured I would brag a little about my productive weekend on the day that I know I will be least productive this week (at least I hope). I am feeling pretty rough this morning – heels are throbbing, calves ache, heartburn is runnin amock even though I haven’t eaten yet, my belly hurts and its hard and tight…I could go on and on, but I won’t. If you have been or are pregnant now, you already know that growing a tiny human is hard work.
Today is the 6 month anniversary of the Boston Bombing. Did you know that Annabelle and I were both there? Read about it here…
This was the second weekend that B has been home since we moved into our new house – so we had LOTS to accomplish. Of course, Muffin Man thought that everything we did was for him. From the kitchen table, to the furniture in the nursery, to the lighting of the fireplace – he was quite pleased with himself our work.
We unpacked about 8 boxes from the garage and washed 7 loads of laundry. We assembled our kitchen table, organized the master bedroom closet, started to set up the man cave/tv room, and even had time to go pick a pumpkin! I also made Chicken-n-Dumplin’s and my Mom’s Apple Crisp. This weekend we have more to do before my Momma comes to visit next Wednesday – the biggest task will be getting the guest room guest-ready!
Here are some more pictures from our weekend:
New reader? Are you due soon? If you are, you may very well be getting ready to have that baby. I had that hard belly right towards the end of all three of my pregnancies….
Oh man, I’m exhausted & feeling your pain after reading about all you did this weekend! We went to a wedding on Saturday night so SOMEONE woke up hung over before our Gender Reveal party on Sunday, leaving me to cook & clean & run around like a crazy person by myself – I totally feel your tight belly, sore legs, sore back pain! Your cat cracks me up – I was just telling Josh yesterday that we’re going to have issues with ours, because he’s going to think the crib and pack & play are all for him. :-X
I have the same sweatshirt as you are wearing in your picture from last year! I love it…soooo comfy! You guys got a lot done! I’m impressed.
Aww, Muffin Man is so cute. I have a sneaky suspicion that our doggy Ziggy Marley is going to be the exact same way. He used to be jealous of my baby cousin. I can’t even imagine what he is going to think when there is little person permanently in his home. You look so cute pregnant!
xx
It’s funny and also totally crazy sometimes! Your post reminds me of 2 things: 1. I haven’t had any apple crisp this year and that makes me SUPER sad and 2. Oh, cats. Gotta love ’em lol

Thank you!!! I hear pets can go either way – jealous or totally in love and protective of the baby.
You’ll have to make some apple crisp asap! And yes my cat is nuts… he is currently chasing something invisible up the walls.
Muffin thinks everything we bring in the house is for him! I have had to hide the stroller!
Hi Elena! Thanks for reading! I am due on December 12th!
At least since he’s blonde the hair isn’t as bad? Maybe? Lol. Ours is a tuxedo, so it’s black hair, EVERYWHERE! I can definitely see having to hide the stroller!
Wow! You were a little nugget last year and now you are a glowing mama! Also crazy that you were at the Boston Bombing…
Haha, the picture of your cat on the changing table is hilarious. I could definitely see my cats doing that. I can see it now….”Thank you for building this fantastic new cat bed for me”. 🙂
You looks so cute! GO SOX! I live in Michigan and they are playing the Tigers so I don’t openly say that much!
