It’s the Newborn Edition of my Friday Favorites! Since it’s my second pregnancy, I have a clear picture of what we need for Newborn Must Haves.
I remember scouring the internet for Newborn Must Haves and coming across a bajillion different ideas. For the most part, we don’t have to bring anything but the carseat she will ride home in since the hospital gives you what you’ll need. However, since I want to take professional photographs in the hospital, I’ve made a little wish list of items for our girl.
1. Lambie Wubbanub – Annabelle was hooked on her hospital pacifier since the day they put it in her tiny mouth. We attached it to a fluffy bunny and she still refuses to give it up. Since they actually stopped carrying the same paci brand in the hospital a few months after her birth, we’ve had to hoard and constantly boil to sanitize the ones we could find.
With Baby Girl, I want to let her become attached to something I know I can find in stores. As for the Lambie – why not have that be her animal?
2. Bow Bottom Bloomers – There is nothing cuter than a newborn wearing a diaper cover with a big bow on the tush. The Beaufort Bonnet Company has so many different diaper covers to choose from that it is hard to pick a favorite. The Christmas themed ones are my favorite!
3. Month Stickers – One of my close friends bought me month stickers and onesies before Annabelle was born they were both a life and a time saver when I would take her monthly ‘birthday’ photos.
4. Personalized Blanket – I cannot wait for Jennifer Ann Styles to release their new Peony Personalized Blanket because it matches Baby Girl’s nursery perfectly! Annabelle has a blanket from Jennifer Ann and it’s become her favorite to cuddle with at night. They aren’t cheap – but I bought hers on sale.
5. Newborn Moccasins – My favorite brand of moccs are without a doubt Freshly Picked. They are stretchy, durable, and adorable. We already have two pairs for our little girl!
6. Coming Home Outfit – With an end of summer due date, I don’t think our little one will need something too fancy and frilly to wear home. I love the idea of a floral custom onesie that will ultimately match her big sister Annabelle.
