New England Fall Fashion Must Haves

Even though Fall is still a few weeks away, I’m getting ready for my favorite season in New England. From crisp afternoons spent apple picking to scenic drives looking at foliage, there is so much to do and see during the autumn months. To make the most out of the season here is a list of New England Fall Must Haves.

Rain Boots and Duck Boots

Rain boots aren’t just for rainy days – I wear my Hunter rain boots when the leaves start to fall and cover the ground or if I’m going pumpkin picking in a muddy field. I like to layer my camp socks under my Hunters if there is a chill in the air or pull on a pair of Hunter boot socks.

Every few years, there is a little bit of snow that falls in New England before Christmas. I’ll never forget the year it snowed on Halloween! The snow turned to slush pretty quickly, but it was still beautiful. If you have a pair of LL Bean Duck Boots, you’ll be prepared for any kind of weather. Duck Boots are cute with jeans, leggings, skirts and tights – the list goes on and on. I always wear my Duck Boots with Camp Socks.

Autumn Weather Closet Staples

Every autumn my closet rotates in some of the staples of the season – plaid button ups, chunky knit sweaters, long cardigans, floppy hats, corduroys, skinny dark denim, and plenty of long sleeves dresses. I love dressing for Fall because it’s all about layering lightweight clothing without having to cover up your outfit with a jacket.

Fall Bucket List

I compiled our September Bucket List, but there are two more months during the fall that we plan. Living in New England makes fall more enjoyable as the temperatures drop much earlier here than in Georgia. There are fall activities in every area of our country, but there is just something about a New England Fall.

Since moving to New England, my family and I have a few things we plan to do this Fall. Visit a local farm and feed the animals is one (we have one right in town!). We will go apple picking, pumpkin picking, attend the town’s fall festival, go trick-or-treating, take a scenic drive to look at the fall foliage, and much more.

We love Fall in our house so much as it leads right into our favorite holiday season. The next couple of months are going to be packed with enjoying everything New England has to offer. What are your New England Fall Must Haves?
