This summer my new name shall be Mrs. Super Busy Bear.
Monday marked the first weekday of the seven busiest weeks of my life (thus far of course).
Wait, I don’t think that makes sense…??
For the next seven weeks I will be hopefully be floating (and not drowning) in a pool of schoolwork. My teaching program starts next week and ends at the end of July. So, while my weekends will hopefully consist of a bit of summertime fun, my weekdays will be dedicated to learning and studying and preparing.
– Yesterday I spent five hours at a hospital in the city getting a physical so I can be a teacher.
– Today I have two appointments with some of my own doctors so I can get a handle on my headaches (yes I still have one) before I am in school for six weeks straight.
– Tomorrow I have to drive back into the city to drop off school documents and to have my TB test results analyzed by the nurse who stuck me with that mean needle.
– PLUS, I must complete a ton of assignments for summer teaching school before Friday evening.
I can’t complain about my hectic schedule this week after the great weekend I had celebrating the end of my stint as Nanny Bear and enjoying the downtime before I assume the role of Mrs. S.B.B.
Unfortunately I didn’t take many pictures…which is so unlike me.
**Friday night we checked out a new place – 2nd Chance Saloon – where we met our friends, B&S, and enjoyed yummy food, live music, and quite the extensive beer list.
A photo of the Bears at 2nd Chance Saloon should appear here… however, we both look horrendous and I refuse to show the public such a beastly picture of us.
**Saturday we went to the pool with B&S (no pictures) and we decided to have a double date night consisting of Sangria, Shrimp, Guacamole, and Chicken Tacos. It was delish!
B & S – They are getting married next summer!
The Bears at B&S’s apartment – which is in the same complex as ours! We are loving that our friends live within walking distance – especially after a night of Sangria.
B made her family’s recipe for Sangria – which was SO tasty and something I shall make in the near future. The only time I’d ever had Sangria before this past weekend was an event I’d like to forget: I was in college – Uconn Spring 2004 – the red death juice was stored in a jug – Carlos Rossi was on the label – and I spent the next morning seeing red in my roommate’s sister’s white porcelain throne.
Well – I have to stick my nose back into the 400 page book we are required to read before next week. Hope you are all having a Terrific Tuesday. XOXOXOXOXOX

How does your TB test look? I haven’t talked about it much on my blog but I just tested positive on the skin test… getting further testing and then might even need treatment 🙁 I am so irritated and sad about the whole thing.

Good luck with your new teaching adventure… that is so exciting! Hopefully you can get those headaches under control. My sisters really good friend had headache problems for years and years… and recently she went to see a specialist and they recommended that she get botox… yes, botox. So she did – in random spots of her head, I think near her scalp hair line… and it works so well. Maybe something to consider. Good luck with everything!
