One of the best things about being a Mom of girls is definitely the clothes – who doesn’t love having a mini me? I enjoy coordinating outfits for us, but I know my time is limited dressing like my daughters. Thankfully at ages 5 and 2, Annabelle and Ailey love matching Mom. Last weekend my daughters and I went to check out the Lilly Pulitzer Mommy and Me options at Saybrook Home. The shoreline home decor and lifestyle boutique is located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Annabelle and Ailey loved everything we tried on – if it were up to the girls we would’ve come home with everything in the store!

The bond between a Mother and her Daughter can be fun when you allow it. My daughters and I have a silly relationship and love laughing together. The vibrant pinks, purples, and blues of our patterned Lilly Pulitzer dresses brought out the best of us during our Mommy and Me photoshoot. Annabelle and I couldn’t stop giggling when Ailey wouldn’t stop dancing – and there were some diva moments with Annabelle posing like a supermodel that had everyone in stitches. I always have the best time with my little sidekicks.
Dressing up like my daughters might not always be cool, but I’m enjoying every chance I have now. I’m taking advantage of the way they admire and trust my style, hopefully teaching them that it’s okay to dress like your Mom. I believe Lilly Pulitzer designs their clothing to inspire joy and happiness, which is evident in our photos.
