Ours is:
For Hawaii wedding: Is this love -Bob Marley
For reception: The Luckiest -Ben Folds
Ours was “Lucky” by Mraz, we sang it to one another as we danced. Love, love, love, love it!
Our first dance song is:
When You Love Someone by Bryan Adams
An obvious choice for us would be the song we got engaged to (“Kathleen” by josh ritter), but the lyric is about driving home… so we’re using it for our last song. I think our first dance will be to “‘Deed I do” as performed by Blossom Dearie – my fiance put it on a mix for me early in our relationship, it’s got a danceable rhythm, and it’s not too slow or too long!
I love The Luckiest.
We are asking ourselves the same first dance question. What genre are you guys into? I would start with picking a genre and then deciding what you love that you can dance to.
I know that I am not much help…sorry about that.
YOu all are so cute! Good to hear from you I have actually been thinking about you/wedding lately, hope all is going great! Keep me posted!…Thanks for visiting me!!!
Not married, nor engaged yet…but the bf and I already have a song that’s “our song”. It’s “I’m Yours” Jason Mraz. Love it!
Also love “Better Together” by Jack Johnson.
Good luck! =)
We danced to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson, my husband’s pick. My first choice was “Everything” by Michael Buble.
I love that dress you wore in your e-photos and tried it on at Banana this weekend… Unfortunately due to my, ahem, endowed chest the top ruffle stood straight out and it didn’t work out too well. Looks amazing on you though!
I’m hesitant to tell you because we’re not married yet! But I’m afraid I can’t hold it in! We may dance to “Someone Like You” Van Morrison 🙂
Pretty pretty pics! We didn’t have alot of room to work with at the ranch so we ended up nixing the first dance. I’m sure we could have made it work but honestly I just didn’t want to think about it all anymore!
I’m a HUGE Jason Mraz fan! Lucky is my absolute favorite song right now. So I loved that someone wrote they used it. We used “Bring it on Home” by Little Big Town (country song) because it is “our song”. But “I’m Yours” was our last song played and it was PERFECT! Everyone was on the dance floor, linked to each other swaying and singing (even my great granma and hubby’s grandma who were in wheelchairs). Soooooo memorable!
These pictures are beautiful!!
