Once a fictional holiday, Galentine’s Day is now honored on February 13 as a day for ladies celebrating ladies. My best friend Claire and I hosted Galentine’s Day Brunch over the weekend. The special gathering was curated by our gal pal Jaimee and attended by a few of our favorite blogger friends. Want the details? Here is how to host a Galentine’s Day brunch for your girlfriends.
Welcoming Your Galentine Guests
The most important part of hosting an event is making your guests feel welcome as soon as they walk through the door. Claire has a big bright kitchen with lots of space to mingle, which is the perfect setting for brunch.
Tip: Always make sure the food and drink is set up before brunch begins so you can greet your guests appropriately.
What better way to start your Galentine’s Day Brunch than with a glass of Rosè?
Serve a Heart-y Brunch Menu
Claire and I love to cook, but for this Galentine’s Brunch we enlisted the help of professionals. Palmer’s Market in Darien created the most incredible spread of sweet and savory bites from their Gourmet-To-Go menu. There was a little bit of everything, with heart shaped tea sandwiches and pink deviled eggs, sweet chocolate covered strawberries and mini parfaits.
Tip: The smaller the food, the easier to eat. Small bites and personalized portions are a perfect choice for brunch if you prefer to stand and socialize.
Claire and I are big fans of Rosè, especially Cote de Roses, are so thankful they wanted to join us for brunch! We also served Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Champagne by Gerard Bertrand, plus juice and sparkling water.
Galentine’s Decorations
Claire and I really wanted to decorate for the event in a way which aligned with our personal tastes. When we envisioned delicate florals and light pinks, Jaimee made it happen. She coordinated many of the details for our event, like floral arrangement inspiration by Bloombox Flowers, serveware from Juliska, and custom cocktail napkins from MonogramMary. The embroidered cocktail napkins are a dainty touch, handmade by a Connecticut Mom (like me!).
Every event needs a beautiful focal point. We are so thankful for Event Stylist Jess from Dewitt Planning, as she created the hanging flower arrangement behind the bar. She added a few other touches too, like the hand painted mirror and balloon wall.
Give Your Galentine’s A Gift
Every great party ends with a goody bag. In addition to serving your girlfriends sips and eats, make sure they can walk away with some gifts.
Our gift bags contain items from some amazing brands. Thank you so much for helping us to gift our Galentines!
Each gift bag contained: Phlur Perfume, Raaka Chocolate, Earrings from Sea Marie Designs, Tub Tea by Anchors Away Supply Co, PinkJacket by ANR Cookies, Nail Polish from The Spa at Litchfield Hills, and a homemade bath bomb by Claire.
Thank you times a million to Claire and Jaimee for such a fun brunch! Everyone needs two galentines like these ladies!
A GIANT THANK YOU to our photographer Kelly Peterson for capturing every silly moment and little detail of our Galentine’s Day Brunch.

This brunch looks like an absolute dream! In fact, it reminds me a lot of my bridal shower, since I had a brunch and mimosa bar with lots of pretty florals hehe. I won’t be in town for Galentine’s Day, or I probably would have hosted something similar to this!
