I can’t describe how happy I was to finally be home Friday evening. When I saw Mr. H hop out of his car to help me with my suitcase I jumped into his arms and gave him fifty million kisses. I am a homebody and I really don’t like going anywhere without him – so a three day business trip was way too long to be away from him and my home. (My constant desire to be with him comes from the 2 years we dated long distance – and b/c he is awesome and I love being around him of course).
We had the BEST weekend together – filled with lots of good food, live music, hand holding, and stolen kisses. We are not usually the type of couple who engage in obnoxious PDA, but this weekend was definitely an ooey gooey lovefest. We couldn’t get enough of each other – Absence sure makes the heart grow fonder.
**Friday we saw a jazz band at Beluga, a martini bar we have been talking about going to for months now. They played some jazz…at first…and then this woman came out and started singing. Next thing we knew there were people dancing everywhere, and it was so fun to watch everyone having a good time from our little bistro table in the back.
**Saturday we watched movies all day, ate some yummy Fellini’s pizza, and watched a Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band at Andrews Upstairs. We got there early and found a place to stand by a counter so we had a place to rest our drinks and dance.
**Sunday morning we went to OHOP – Original House of Pancakes – where I had THE BEST strawberries, fresh whipped cream, and buttermilk pancakes. I wish I had some right now!! Then we watched The Wrestler, made some spaghetti and meat sauce, drank some wine, and finished the night with a little bit of Sopranos.
(yummmy pancakes!)
I love the weekends when we have nothing planned and they turn out so great. This weekend we are headed to St. George Island for Memorial Day with Brandon’s dad, stepmom, brother, and his g/f. There are some rumors of a tropical depression but I am praying for some sun!!!
