one. Italian Inspired Extra Virgin Olive Oil Soap. Milano Mint. Ohhhmmmmm.
Aroma Scents LLC sent me this delicious bar of handmade vegan soap last week. I will be blogging allll about its fabulousness at a later time, but I just had to share!
two. NORWEGIAN VISITORS
I’ve always been a believer that we cross paths with certain people on purpose. The fates sat Lene and Sven at our dinner table on our Celebrity Cruise in 2011 because the four of us were meant to be bff. Since our cruise, we’ve met up a bunch of times – in Baltimore, Florida, and Norway. Tonight, they coming to visit us in Georgia! I can’t wait for them to finally meet Annabelle!
three. Autism Awareness.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times – my cousin is a brilliant writer. Please take a moment to read her post on World Autism Awareness Day. It is profound and inspiring and something everyone should read.
How can we expect the world to understand something they don’t know? We can’t. We cannot expect the world to understand something they are not educated on. We cannot expect the world to accept something that seems different without giving them a reason to. And, yes, maybe that sounds awful that we need to give people a reason to be accepting.. But it is the truth. The reality is that the world is a cold, cruel place sometimes. People are bigoted. They make fun of others. They dislike for no reason, and hate what they don’t understand. The only way to help them understand is to raise awareness; because through awareness there is education. Through education there is knowledge. With knowledge comes understanding. And after understanding, well that is when great things happen, like acceptance and LOVE. – K.T.
four. vacuum lines.
Can I just say that vacuum lines make me giddy? We had our house professionally cleaned this week for the first time and I couldn’t be more pleased! I may or may not have rolled around on my back on the carpet next to Mcmuffin Wednesday night. (Note: Annabelle was demanding to watch Elmo so she could dance – she didn’t care about the carpet.
five. Hoppy babies.
This girl and her banana. And the pink moccs. And the raincoat. And the Have a Hoppy Day shirt. And the pink ballet leggings (that you can’t see b/c I took a crappy picture). She makes me SO HOPPY!

I love you for so many reasons, but today I love you for sharing my little message.. It is so important that people stop bickering about these “awareness” techniques (like all of the ice bucket challenge nay-sayers.. *cough*.. Roger.. *cough*) and realize that conversations need to be started, and I personally, don’t care the means in which they are started. That it happens is what matters to me. The fact that the outcome of these conversations can potentially be growth and a more understanding future, that’s what matters to me. That’s what I care about.. Most importantly, that’s what matters to my daughter..
P.S. Annabelle face in the last picture is killing me. I love her!
