one. the summer heat.
I am always *over* summer quickly when the temperatures really rise. Never a fan of the heat, I start thinking about cooler weather as soon as I feel the sweat trickle down my backside while standing outside. It happened yesterday and that’s when I decided it’s time for summer to be over… too bad we have another month plus! (A little melodramatic but who can stand a sweaty butt?)
two. new booties.
If you haven’t already heard, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to EVERYONE! The sale ends August 6 and the prices go up August 7. If you have your eye on something, DON’T WAIT because the good stuff (top sellers) sells out fast. Last year I wanted a pair of low heeled booties and just waited too long… so this morning I bought these. If I was feeling frisky I would have bought these block heel booties, but I doubt I would wear them that much.
three. summer shows.
Last night when a little Momsomnia struck I downloaded the Freeform app on my fun phone to watch a little t.v. There is a new show called “The Bold Type” that seemed TOTALLY my kind of guilty pleasure. After watching the pilot, I’m hooked. It’s funny, a little gossip-girl-y, full of amazing fashion, and cute. Have you heard of it yet?!
four. missing Cape Cod.
This is the second summer we weren’t able to take a week vacation up to my favorite place – Cape Cod. Last summer I was too pregnant, so I only went for a long weekend for Lizzie’s bachelorette. This summer, she’s too pregnant and we are all anxiously planning next years trip. (Here are some misc. vacation recaps – Cape Cod 2014, Cape Cod 2015, Cape Cod 2008)
five. one month and one day.

The countdown is ON! There are only 32 days until my little sister’s baby is due! Sloane could come early, she could come late, or she could come right on her cousin Ailey’s first birthday. We are all excited to meet her and add another little girl to our girl gang.
Umm…how gorgeous is my sister??
