Have you ever been to a family brunch at Saint Clements Castle in Portland, CT? Over the weekend my husband, daughters and I had the pleasure of attending Saint Clements Castle’s famous Easter Brunch!
There is nothing quite like having someone else cook for you and your family on a holiday morning. Even though I enjoy making my own Easter brunch, I really enjoyed not having to prepare a giant meal and clean the kitchen this year! Bonus: The girls met the Easter Bunny!
Family Easter Brunch at Saint Clements Castle
The Saint Clements Castle Easter Brunch is a fan favorite event for families all over Connecticut. The Easter Brunch menu appeases guests of all ages. One may find a variety of breakfast and lunch – such as an omelette station and hot entree table. I really love buffet style brunches because you can try a little bit of everything (or lots of what you love!). Buffet style brunches are always family friendly with lots of options for picky eaters.
My daughters loved the bacon, fresh fruit, and french toast. They also really enjoyed the toppings offered with the Penne Al la Vodka, like peas and crispy prosciutto crumbles, at the pasta station! My husband and I each had a made to order omelette, as well as fresh shrimp cocktail and pork loin. We all enjoyed a little bit of everything – each bite equally fresh and flavorful!
Our family was lucky to have the sweetest server, Jeri, for our table. We ordered coffee, tea, or juice from Jeri. She brought the girls an Easter activity placemat, crayons and reusable kids cups. My daughters love little activities while they wait for their meal!

A Special Visit with the Easter Bunny
What kind of Easter Brunch would it have been without a visit from the EASTER BUNNY?! My daughters haven’t seen the Easter Bunny since before the pandemic, so they were VERY excited to say hello. It was Arbor, our 4 month old’s first time meeting the Easter Bunny – we were surprised she didn’t cry!

A Little More About Saint Clements Castle and Marina
Saint Clements Castle and Marina is located on over 90 acres overlooking the Connecticut River. The beautiful estate, with architectural design influenced by 16th century castle of Europe, was originally built in 1901 by the Taylor Family. In 1993, the historic Saint Clements Castle was gifted to the Saint Clements Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization formulated for the preservation of the Castle as well as its gorgeous gardens and art treasures.
There are three unique event spaces on site, with one debuting in August 2022 just steps from the river. The new event space will be called Rivers Edge at Saint Clements Marina. Each space is special with dance floors, real wooden bars, and intricate details such as sparkling crystal chandeliers. The Connecticut venue can accommodate anywhere from 75- 260 guests in the Prince Edward Ballroom or Waterford Ballroom!
