What to Do at the Ocean Edge Resort
My family and I visit the Cape every summer, but this was my first time to Brewster. Each town on the Cape has something unique to offer in the way of natural beauty, history, the arts or in entertainment. The Ocean Edge Resort is located just minutes away from Brewster’s scenic beaches, charming shops, and countless art galleries. There is also access to the well-known Cape Cod Rail Trail, a 22 mile paved trail which passes through six Cape Cod towns.
Go Biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail
The Ocean Edge Resort offers hourly and daily bike rentals to guests for a small fee. The Flyep for Hire Bike Shop is located by Blueberry Pond on the Villages side of the resort’s property.
Brandon and I spent two hours biking up and down the rail trail and exploring Brewster. There weren’t many other bikers
Happy Hour at the Beach Bar
The Beach Bar is located at the end of the private pathway from the Mansion to the water. The 32-seat bar is perched atop the Cape Cod dunes and overlooks the gorgeous Cape Cod Bay.
On our first evening we stopped at the Beach Bar for happy hour before dinner. There is a plentiful menu offering appetizers and sandwiches, as well as cocktails, beer and wine. We listened to the sounds of the ocean while sampling the Hummus Plate, Rosè, and Sauvignon Blanc. Resort guests can also order food or drinks to bring to the beach.

Stroll along the Bay
The Mansion side of the resort offers private guest access to the beach. Brandon and I walked down to the shore one morning just as the sun was rising. It was nice to be the only people on the beach – so peaceful and serene.

There are so many amazing beaches to visit while on the Cape. A few friends recommended we visit Breakwater Beach, which is just a short drive off 6A in the center of Brewster. Breakwater Beach is a breathtaking white sand beach surrounded by grassy dunes. My husband and I enjoyed strolling the ocean’s edge together.
Stop by The Brewster Store
Another highly recommended stop while staying at the Ocean Edge Resort is The Brewster Store. The authentic General Store is filled with souvenirs, a penny candy, fresh coffee and pastries. We perused the aisles for gifts for our daughters and brought home a few Cape Cod snow globes.

Explore the Grounds at the Ocean Edge Resort
My husband and I made a point to explore the grounds before we headed home after an amazing stay at the Ocean Edge Resort. From the lush greenery, to the blooming florals, and the historical rooms – there’s so much to see. My favorite surprise was the vine covered water tower on the east side of the property! We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely fall getaway the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club.

Love it! We actually were in the Brewster Store during an all to short trip to Cape Cod. We must return and arrange to stay at the resort.
