Are you looking to plan a fall getaway to Cape Cod? Read Part One on how to plan an amazing fall escape to the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club in Cape Cod.
Autumn on the Cape is one of best times to visit the popular (and my favorite) New England destination. This September my husband and I snuck away to Cape Cod’s award winning Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club for a few days. With gorgeous weather and smaller crowds, fall is a great season to enjoy Cape Cod’s picturesque beaches, charming towns, and biking trails.
The Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club is nestled in the quaint bayside town of Brewster, in the Lower Cape of Cape Cod. The 337 room resort spreads across 429 acres of exquisitely manicured grounds between The Mansion and The Villages. From private beach access to numerous restaurants, a full service Beach House Spa to Brewster’s only 18-hole, Nicklaus Design golf course, there are countless amenities.
We are very thankful to live just a few hours away from the Ocean Edge Resort. Traveling during the ‘off season’ is always nice because you miss all of the crazy Cape Cod traffic. We made it from our house to the resort in just three hours (with one stop!).
Accommodations at the Ocean Edge Resort
The Ocean Edge Resort welcomes guests of all ages – from couples to families, to groups and weddings, there are accommodations for every party size. There are two different sides of the Ocean Edge Resort – The Mansion and The Villas. My husband and I stayed on The Mansion side, which houses an actual Mansion originally built in 1912 by the Nickerson Family.
Our luxurious Premier Two-Queen Guestroom was spacious, but cozy and romantic. There is just enough space to relax, get ready for a night out, or even sneak in a little bit of work. From the draped headboards to the sitting area to the built-in shelving, we felt as if we were staying in an actual guest room of a Mansion.
The Beach House Spa
My husband and I enjoyed a most relaxing afternoon at the Beach House Spa. The spa is located in an actual house adorned with Cape Cod seashore inspired accents. The Beach House Spa offers full-body massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing and wedding spa services.
The Beach House Spa treated Brandon and I to individual full body massages. I chose the Immune Boosting Massage and Brandon chose the Deep Tissue Massage. The staff at The Beach House Spa is attentive and cater to any concerns you may have during your treatment. We both agree our massages were the most relaxing and refreshing services we ever received.
Did you know you can host a private party for you and your friends at The Beach House Spa? From the women’s locker room to the spacious bridal dressing room, prepare for your services in a beautiful space. The Beach House Spa carries a food and alcohol license, which allows for a full catered experience.

One of the most amazing features of the Beach House Spa are the art installments throughout the property. Brewster is known for their large artist community, so local artists display their work all around the Beach House Spa. My favorite piece can be seen below – a school of silver fish!
Dining at the Ocean Edge Resort
If you love New England Cuisine you’ll enjoy dining at one of five restaurants and snack bars at the Ocean Edge Resort. We started each day with breakfast at the Ocean Terrace where we indulged in the Smoked Salmon board. There are other options on the breakfast menu such as the Terrace Eggs or Brioche French Toast. However the Smoked Salmon is my favorite (and is absolutely delicious).
Lunch at Linx Tavern
When it comes to lunchtime guests have a few dining options at the Ocean Edge Resort. My husband and I visited Linx Tavern overlooking the golf course at the Villages. We were excited to feast on Sweet Potato Griddle Cakes, New England Clam Chowder, and Lobster Rolls. If you ever visit Cape Cod you MUST enjoy a Lobster Roll.
Dinner at the Ocean Terrace
A MUST DO while visiting the Ocean Edge Resort is dinner at Ocean Terrace. The view of the sunset over the Cape Cod Bay is breathtaking and spectacular – even on a cloudy day. My husband and I spent two romantic evenings dining on the Ocean Terrace. One night our waiter surprised me with an early birthday cake too!
The Ocean Terrace at The Mansion provides a dining experience unlike any other I’ve enjoyed while on the Cape. With the exceptional view, outstanding service, and scrumptious dishes, any guest is sure to have a memorable time.
