Pregnancy sure has turned me into quite the little crafty gal. Other than the years I spent in Girl Scouts, I think it’s safe to say that everything I have ever made myself has occurred during the past 9 months. Right now I am up to 2 Burlap Wreaths, a Pregnancy Scrapbook, and now… a Wine Cork Monogram.
I started collecting wine corks after we got married and until now, they’ve done nothing but sit in various vases around my house. I credit Pinterest for my inspiration, and about 10 blogs for explaining how to make my pretty little H. If your last name begins with H – you are in luck!
DIY Wine Cork Monogram
- Glue two wine corks that are relatively the same size together on a flat surface.
- Glue another cork to the top. Easy, right?
- Keep gluing corks together until you reach your desired height. I used two rows of 9 corks. Make sure the long part of your H is not crooked by stopping to check it frequently. I took my whole H apart the first time I did it because it looked like drunk.
- After you’ve made your two long parts, attach three corks to the bottom and the top of each part. Then connect the long parts with 6 corks that are the same size. I used A LOT of glue here because I was afraid it would fall apart. So far it’s holding together pretty nicely.
Clearly there were more than 4 steps, and I apologize for the lack of pictures, but my pregnant belly got in the way.

For those of you who don’t have an H for your last name, I recommend using a letter from Michaels as your base.
