Read how to make a DIY Mom-To-Be Gift Basket, the perfect surprise you can easily make for an expecting Mom before the baby arrives.
How many Mom to be’s do you know this year?
I have quite a few family/friends that experiencing their first “Mother-to-be Day” this year. Since it’s such an amazing day, I want to make them feel as special as they are. Becoming a Mother has been the most significant life changing event I’ve experienced. Motherhood is the greatest thing to ever happen to me!
One of the expecting Moms is my little sister. I am beyond thrilled for my sister and brother in law who are expecting their first child this August.
My sister is more than halfway through her pregnancy and is starting to become uncomfortable. It isn’t easy growing a tiny human. By the end of the day, she loves to de-stress and relax in a bubble bath.
Another pregnancy symptom: swollen feet and itchy skin. If she is on her feet all day and doesn’t drink enough water, she feels terrible by the evening. With all of these symptoms in mind, I’ve put together a basket of gifts to brighten her day.
I can’t think of a better way to honor my sister, or any pregnant Momma, then with a Mom to Be Gift Basket.
Here is how to make a DIY Mom To Be Gift Basket
- An oversized water bottle to stay hydrated
- Bath bombs
- A face mask
- A candle
- Candy for sweet cravings
- A pair of cozy socks for swollen feet at the end of the day
- THE BEST PART – her first Mother’s Day card.
A DIY Mom To Be Gift Basket is not complete without a card. I am such a huge fan of paper cards and believe it’s so important to personalize a gift with a handwritten message from the heart. You can buy a card in a store or make your own at home (I like to hand paint cards these days).
Whether you’re buying for a Mom-to-Be, a special Mom-like woman, or your own Momma, don’t forget to tell her how special she is in your life this Mother’s Day!

Love this! One of the things I constantly want to start doing (I don’t know why I feel like I need to wait until January – any month or day will do!) is sending paper birthday cards. I think it would be so sweet to receive instead of a text, phone call or the less personal Facebook post.
