If you’re here looking for dairy free recipes, I have five just for you!
I can’t believe that Annabelle and I are going on almost 6 months of being dairy free. When she was four months old we learned she has a dairy allergy. Since she is exclusively breastfed (EBF), I must eat dairy-free as well. I’ve been collecting dairy free recipes so I don’t get bored.
It has been hard to adjust and I made many mistakes in the beginning. But lately I feel like we are really succeeding at this dairy free lifestyle. The doctor says we can introduce dairy – and we tried with whole milk organic yogurt – but Annabelle spit it in her Noni’s face.
Here are some great dairy free recipes for you – or to even try with your little one – all found on Pinterest.
“No” Creamy Spinach Gnocchi
I made this last week and it was outstanding! Annabelle even liked it.
Paleo Fish Tacos with Spicy Baja SauceB and I eat fish tacos atleast once a week. This recipe is wonderful as it includes how to make a tasty slaw AND sauce for your fish!
Crock Pot Southwestern Corn ChowderWho says you can’t have chowder when you’re on a dairy free diet?! This recipe calls for Coconut Milk. I’m not a fan of it, but I would be willing to try the recipe out just so I could enjoy some chowder!
Coconut Almond Green Beans aka Green Bean Casserole
One of the parents at my school made a dairy free green bean casserole for the PVO Teacher lunch last month. I forgot to take a picture, but found the recipe linked to this photo above. It. Was. Amazing!
Dairy Free Macaroni and Cheese
I am a sucker for Macaroni and Cheese. I haven’t tried to make my own yet, but this recipe looks pretty delicious. The recipe calls for “unsweetened milk of choice” and I am guessing you could use Almond, Soy, or Coconut.

How did you figure out that A was allergic to milk?
Caitlin says
We knew based on her diaper (mucous-y poops) and behavior that something was wrong. The doctor tested her diaper for traces of blood, which could be a sign of an allergy, and it came back positive!

Oh man! I’m sure glad Weston didn’t have a milk allergy! I am OBSESSED with everything dairy and would have been heartbroken about giving it up! You’re doing awesome though, and those fish tacos look so yummy!
