I haven’t talked much about my new nanny position because I don’t think that the family wants me blabbing in blogworld about their lives… HOWEVER I had to share this funny story.
This morning little T and I baked heart healthy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for his Dad’s birthday today (check out the recipe and pictures on my other blog!). After we both ate a few of our finished product – which are delicious – he told me he was still hungry for lunch. I brought out his usual – wheat bread, turkey, mayo, and american cheese. As I started to assemble his sammy, Little T ran over to the fridge and pulled out the strawberry jelly. He then told me he’d like jelly on his sammy too. I told him that I thought cream cheese would taste better with jelly than mayo and turkey, and he agreed. THEN he told me he wanted everything but the mayo on the bread.
Everything.
Turkey, yellow american cheese, cream cheese, and chunky strawberry jelly on wheat bread.
So I made it for him. And he ate every last crumb.
I waited and waited for him to throw it all up – but it never happened.
He is at preschool right now and I pray that his sammy creation doesn’t show it’s face during circle time…

Ewwwwwww…. kids kill me! That’s so gross 🙁
hahaha I love kids stories (that aren’t my kids because I don’t think I would have let them do that!)
The cookies look so good btw!

That’s hilarious! My son will only eat peanut butter (no jelly), so if I even mentioned this creation he might vomit on the spot. LOL

That’s really disgusting but I wondered after getting over (slightly) my disgust, if it tasted like a Thanksgiving dinner? I mean, turkey, cheese, jelly could be like cranberry sauce, on bread?
But no excuse for the mayo!!
