Would it be crazy to have a Christmas wedding?
My favorite holiday is Christmas. Lots of people love Christmas, but my loyalty goes above and beyond fellow Santa Claus fans. I start listening to Christmas music in August, sometimes July. If pine tree was a perfume, I would wear it. I still go to bed early on Christmas Eve because Santa comes to my parents house only if I am asleep. On Christmas Day I still wake up my sister and parents at 4am to open presents.
Why are you talking about Christmas on a wedding blog?
I am trying to figure out a way to incorporate my favorite time of year into my October beach wedding. We are going to have a reception in my hometown during winter sometime after our wedding, but that is not enough. It’s important that I find a way to recognize my favorite holiday on our special day.
A Christmas Colored Wedding
I can’t bring reindeer and candy canes to the beach so close to Christmas, so I am doing the best that I can. We have decided to change our wedding colors to accommodate my love of the holiday. I replaced pink with bright red and sea foam green with pastel green.
I have also made a happy maid of honor. My little sister told me that she only looks good in red and black… naturally I laughed at her and told her she can wear those colors at her own wedding. But now, she gets to wear red…. or GREEN! Needless to say she was very excited about my decision.
