Mr. H and I’s engagement anniversary is coming up soon – August 16th – and if you don’t already know, he proposed while we were on my family vacation in Cape Cod last summer. I will tell you all the WHOLE story closer to 8/16.
Cape Cod is a place that my family holds very near and dear to our hearts. My Grandmother often escaped to the Cape to write and paint before she had children. She carried on the tradition with my Dad and Aunts, whisking them away to a quaint cottage and the beautiful beaches every summer. Then my parents brought us to the Cape – the first time I didn’t quite understand why a man was wearing a dress when we visited Provincetown – and my sister didn’t quite understand a WHOLE lobster was a lot to eat for a 5 year old girl.
**August 2005 – Mr. H and I in Wellfleet, MA – stealing some time alone on the bayside…then being silly together.
August 2008 – Cahoon Hollow Beach in Wellfleet, MA is where Mr. H proposed and that HUGE sand dune is what I chased him down.
Cappy the Cape Cod Lobster – my baby is so going to wear this…
Race Point Beach – even beautiful in the winter. It it where my Grandma Mary’s ashes were spread.
I love lighthouses – they are so romantic! If it wasn’t such a pain to get all our family to Cape Cod – we would’ve been married next to a lighthouse.
I took this picture in Provincetown from the deck of a yummy restaurant. The sky, the water, the boats….so gorgeous.
Provincetown is not only beautiful… but it is also UNIQUE. Here are some fellows on their way to the town’s annual Drag Bingo Night.
