BIG NEWS
Ailey is trying to walk with her Lion Walker. She said her first word, “Hi!” on May 24th. We had suspected she has been saying it for awhile now, but she really says it loud and proud when its appropriate now.
She has started waving “Hi” and “Bye.”
She is pulling up on everything (the couch and tubby are her favs).
She learned “How big is Ailey? – Soooo big!” with her arms in the air on the same night she said her first word.
She gives open mouth kisses when requested and likes to pat your back when you hold her.
Ailey has two bottom teeth completely through the gums and visible and two top teeth trying to come out.
We found out that she is ALLERGIC to Sesame and Chickpea on 5/15. Ailey went into anaphylactic shock after taking a few bites of hummus the week before. She had hives, itchy mouth, vomiting, and possible trouble breathing. We now carry Epi-Pens everywhere. Also, there is a chance she is allergic to Eggs (even though she tested negative) because she has been getting hives on her neck after eating them scrambled.
She mostly naps 2 times a day, but sometimes has a quick cat nap in the evening an hour before bed. She will go down for 4-5 hours and then wakes up every 2 hours until morning time (6:30am). When she wakes up she cries and is unable to put herself back to sleep. We even let her cry it out for a bit, but she won’t lay back down. Momma has to rock her back to sleep and she gets mad if its anyone but me. For the record, she has only slept through the night TWICE in her little life.
Ailey is so happy and smiley for the majority of the day though. She LOVES to dance and will do so on command. Her favorite toys are the doctor kit, picnic basket, and the silverware in the dining room (that she isn’t supposed to play with). You can find her dragging around her Wubbanub when she is sleepy.
Ailey has a big temper and does NOT like to be told, “No” when she is getting into things around the house. He favorite forbidden places to go are near the bar cart/silverware tray in the dining room and the back door blinds. She also loves the bathroom closet filled with cleaning products and playing on the pantry floor.

Sounds like you have your hands full! I’m so sorry that you had to learn about her allergies that way – that sounds terrifying. Hopefully she grows out of some of them!
