Planning a weekend in Newburyport, MA? The quintessential coastal New England town on the North Shore of Massachusetts is a must-see! Today I’m sharing my amazing girls’ weekend away to Newburyport all thanks to The Busy Creative, Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, and Runway for Recovery. This post has details on where to stay, shop and eat in Newburyport. Enjoy!
Where to Stay: Plum Island
Along with 11 other bloggers, I was invited by The Busy Creative and Newburyport Chamber to spend three incredible October nights experiencing Newburyport, MA. We stayed in three seaside homes, each unique with incredible views, on Plum Island from Sandy Cheeks Plum Island Rental Properties. Plum Island is barrier beach island located off the coast of Newbury and Newburyport in northeastern Massachusetts.

Dining in Newburyport, MA
The list of dining options in Newburyport is quite extensive! We had the opportunity to experience quite a few during our stay.
Thursday: We kicked off our trip with a Welcome Dinner featuring Meant to Brie, Cafe Sarina, and Buttermilk Baking Company. Seacoast Picnic designed our Welcome Party table scape and Bubble Bar served up a few signature cocktails. Both of these vendors would be SO fun to have at a private event while in Newburyport. We enjoyed quite a bit of 90+ Wines during our trip as well. If you have yet to try them, use code RUNWAY for 10% off your purchase until 10/31/2022. A special thank you to the Women’s Business League for being a sponsor for our dinner!
Friday: We enjoyed hot coffee and a spread of sweet treats from Olive’s Coffee and Bakehouse for breakfast. For lunch we were served a Make Your Own Taco Bar from Metzy’s Cantina. Want to dine there? Use the code INFLUENCE15 for 15% off your meal until 10/20/2022!
Saturday: We started our morning with the softest bagels from Abraham’s Bagels and more delicious coffee. For lunch we headed to the outstanding Sea Level Restaurant where you must try the fish tacos with a side of french fries. Sea Level is bright, inviting, and has a view of the harbor in Newburyport! If you’re in Newburyport, use code SLNBPT15 for 15% off your meal at Sea Level Restaurant until 11/6/2022.
On Saturday night we visited the trendy Bar 25 Restaurant where we dined on small plates (you must try the magic mushrooms), chicken kabobs and tasty desserts. The cocktail menu is so much fun if you’re feeling adventurous too!

Shopping in Newburyport
If you love to shop, then Newburyport is the place to be! I was shocked at how incredibly diverse the shopping scene is in town. From jewelry to home decor, children’s clothes to speciality foods, there is something for everyone. During the town’s Octoberfest, many local businesses set up booths with their speciality items on the green. We also perused a variety of amazing shops around town!
One highlight of our trip was a Sip and Shop event at Virtue, specializing in jewelry, and the women’s boutique Charleston & Coco. At Virtue I was able to try on the most stunning array of sapphire jewelry – did you know sapphires are not only blue?!
We also spent an afternoon at Haven Living decorating oyster shells with Sailormade and Noted Candles.

Play in Newburyport
Fuel Training Studio – I am so grateful I was able to experience a barre class at Fuel Training Studio. The beautiful multi-purpose fitness studio has a variety of barre, cycling, and strength training classes. After our workout class we headed to Interlocks Hair Salon for blowouts! I met with Kelly and she did an incredible job on blow drying my hair straight then curling it for fun!
Great Freedom Adventures – I was unable to join my friends on a bike tour of Plum Island, but they were kind enough to share photos of the beautiful scenery. Contact Great Freedom Adventures for your own adventure!
