I’m sharing details of my pregnancy at 24 weeks. Enjoy this summary of 24 weeks pregnant with my weight gain, cravings, baby’s development and more!
How far along: 24 weeks 2 days pregnant
Total weight gain: Well let’s just hope things slow down a bit…because Momma is up 21 lbs. I know that my food choices have not been the best, so I am becoming more conscious of what I stuff in my mouth.
Baby Size: Baby A (yes she will be an A name!) is the size of a rock melon… or a cantaloupe.
Baby Facts: She is still bit translucent looking and skinny, but this will be changing soon. She is also at the point where if I went into labor and she were born now, the hospitals would do everything possible to save her – babies have been born this early!
Movement: Alllllll the time now. Morning, noon, night.
Sleep: I’ve tried to ignore the need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night every 2 hours, but fear I will wet the bed like a little kid. SO, I will officially never sleep 5 hours straight until my children are in college. If I am lucky enough to take a nap during the day I wake up like Oscar the Grouch.
Cravings/Aversions: Cheeseburgers? I went through a phase when pregnant with Annabelle too… they aren’t good for me or my intestinal system, but I did indulge last week and let me tell you… it was heaven. Aversion = Seafood. I want to miss my shrimps and crabs but the thought makes my mouth sweat…
Symptoms: Vulvar Varicose veins – GREAT NEWS after my doctors appointment… I’m developing them on my right side now and they will only get worse. I left the office in tears because they make sitting, standing, walking, sleeping painful. I’m officially living in Lululemon pants or compression leggings since they seem to reduce the swelling. I bought a V2 Supporter but I can only wear at home b/c you can see it through my clothes. Bleeding Gums – Annabelle is always fascinated by the amount of “pink” that I spit into the sink when we brush our teeth. Aches and Pains – totally normal for you to feel like you have the body of an 89 year old by nighttime right?
Looking forward to: Mother’s Day!!! Purchasing something with Baby A’s name on it.

I had vulvar varicose veins with Emma too. Ugh they were terrible. I didn’t have them with Ryan so I had no idea what they were. Luckily they went away within 2 weeks of having her but my goodness they were painful!!!! Love the pics you put on Insta of you and Annabelle – shes adorable!
