I have one of the most amazing jobs in the world – I am a first grader teacher. However… I am a first grade teacher in a community that is highly poverty stricken.
My students go to school in a low income community in a system that seems to be always cutting our budget. We are a Title I School with over 85% of our students receiving free or reduced lunches. We are always short of paper, crayons, glue sticks, even toilet paper for the restrooms. I do my best to provide what I can, but it never seems like it is enough.
I get so jealous when I see other teachers’ classrooms on their blogs. How do you have the time and money to make yours look so amazing? Where did you get the funds for the incredible technology you have?
I would love to be able to bring something special to my classroom – an LCD projector so I could show my students what the internet has to offer, so I could show my students powerpoint presentations and national geographic films about dolphins they have never seen or what a tornado looks like.
You can help me do this… just click here and donate. $1 is enough. Please help your fellow blogger out!

I work at a title I school too!
