Want to know what motivates me to exercise? I’m on a fitness journey this year and here is how I’m getting motivated to get in shape!

Want to know what Motivates Me to Exercise?
This year I really want to get back into shape. I used to work out a lot, especially during the year we got married. Now that I have three kids, I don’t have as much time to get into the gym. However, I have found some new things I love to do.
My favorite go-to workout is Zumba. I am one of those people who hate walking/running on a cardio machine. The minute I step on a machine I suddenly develop ADD and can’t be stuck moving in one place. With Zumba, I can shake it and move it and dance all over the room. PLUS – I have seen the best results from dance.
If you look at my posts from 2009 I was so happy. I used to dance four times a week when we lived in Atlanta. When I went on my honeymoon, I was the happiest I’d ever been in a bathing suit!

Some ways I keep myself motivated include:
Music! Having a dedicated workout playlist can make a huge difference in your workout.
Pinterest: I like to look at motivational posts on Pinterest and other social media platforms.
Set Goals! If you’re looking to be more active this year, set your personal goals of what you are looking to achieve. Make them realistic and achievable for yourself!
Make the workout fun! As I mentioned, I hate cardio machines, so doing a Zumba class or other workout classes can be more fun for me to participate in! If you don’t enjoy your workout, you may not want to continue consistently.
Reward yourself! Whenever you finish your exercise, take some moments to reflect and feel proud of yourself. You can reward yourself in many ways such as treating yourself to something new, or getting a yummy treat!

Ugh! I wish it were easier to get a bum like that! I’ve inserted the stair stepper into my gym activities and I think that may help. It’s killer. I have to wear a bikini next week for my honeymoon and it’s not going to be that pretty . . . yikes!
Love this! Those butts are amazing.
I want a butt like that. I started a lifting class at my gym and it does the job. You leave there feeling like jello.
