Any brewery that is kid-friendly, serves wine, and has a food truck outside is the place to spend Sunday Funday. Kinsmen Brewing Co. is located in Southington, CT and family friendly.
My cousin has been telling us about an awesome brewery right by her house that we all had to try for months now… and I can’t believe it took us so long to go! We had a blast having adult conversations at Kinsmen Brewing Co. while the kids played with a life size Connect Four. We also enjoyed delicious Mayan tacos and burritos from the Achiote Food Truck parked outside.
All of the beer drinkers raved about the variety of beers at Kinsmen Brewing Co. Since I don’t drink beer, I truly appreciate a brewing company that offers adult friendly drinks besides what they make. If you aren’t a fan of red wine, there was white, Rose, and a Texas mule. Water was free (which is HUGE in my books – vineyards need to get on this train), and you can bring your own food if you aren’t a fan of the food truck parked outside.
A family friendly brewing company is a greatly appreciated by Moms and Dads alike. We enjoy being able to take our children places while we sip and sample local beers (wine in my case). I truly enjoy that you can bring your own food and snacks too.
Next weekend they’ll have live music, so we are already considering another trip! If you’re looking for a fun place to go with the kids in tow, definitely check out Kinsmen Brewing Co. on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in Milldale, CT.

I love that most breweries around here are kid friendly. I’ve only found one that doesn’t allow them at all. I’ve never heard of Kinsmen though, will have to try them out!
