Happy New Year everyone! I really can’t believe it is 2010 – this past year has definitely flown by and I must say it was one of the best years of my life (so far of course – I am only 24 haha).
Don’t get me wrong – I had a slew of health problems and a bajillion medical bills, I was stressed out pretty much 80% of Jan-Oct, and there were a few deaths in our lives (may SB, PR, AR, JM, AK, and most recently TR rest in peace). However, all the bad and sad was forgotten when Mr. Bear and I were married on October 17th =0)
Other highlights of my year: a promotion at work, lots of good times with my family (Aunt D’s kareoke party, my bachelorette, three wonderful wedding showers), new friendships in Atlanta, four amazing days in Destin for our wedding weekend, an incredible honeymoon in Maui w/ my best friend and love of my life, and on Monday I WAS OFFERED AN INTERVIEW WITH “the teaching program”!
Tomorrow morning we embark on quite a journey to kick off the new year. We are driving 10.5 hours (or so Mapquest says) to Elkridge, MD to start a new chapter – almost seems like it could be the first chapter – in our lives as newlyweds.
We are both filled with crazy feelings of anxiety and excitment for our big move to a bigger and better apartment in a cozy (I hope) community in close proximity to Baltimore and D.C. We are both a little sad to be leaving this area though because we are just a few hours away from Mr. Bear’s parents in GA and TN – moving farther away is bringing us closer to my family though for the first time in our relationship. My sister and her boyfriend are actually going to be our first visitors next weekend!
I will be back sometime soon with pictures from Xmas and New Years – blogger doesn’t seem to want to upload anything! Please pray for Mr. Bear, his Dad who will be driving the moving truck, and myself for safe travels tomorrow!!
