I only have three days of work this week and then the Bears are off to visit the H’s (remember I used to be Future Mrs. H – yah well that’s because Mr. Bear’s last name is H and his dad’s family is the H’s and… yah…). Here is Mr. Bear’s dad and stepmomma.
We haven’t seen Mr. Bear’s dad and stepmom since January, his Mawmaw and Pawpaw(dad’s parents) since Dec, and his grandparents (stepmom’s parents) since October. Plus his best friend Dale, his stepsister, his brother, and his brother’s girlfriend are all going to make appearances. It shall be a big family reunion! Hooray! Here is the last time we saw everyone in January…
We are going to spend our time split between Georgia and Tennessee from Thurs – Tues – hopefully by the pool in the sun (fingers crossed for good weather). I love that its Memorial Day weekend (yay for lots of family picnics) AND Mr. Bear’s birthday on Sunday.

My mom’s visit to Maryland was soooo much fun. Saturday night we went to an incredible Italian restaurant, Aldo’s, in Baltimore’s Little Italy. Great service, delicious food, and such a cozy restaurant. Mr. Bear was excited because they snuck up behind him with a Happy Birthday canoli and didn’t embarrass him by singing, cheering, or clapping loudly.
Isn’t my mom GORGEOUS?! She is incredible btw – totally planned the bestest birthday dinner for Mr. Bear. She always plans the bestest birthdays for her family though… can’t wait for mine, hehehehe.
Yesterday I spent FOUR hours cooking for my second Yankee Challenge for The Hungry Southerner. It was a doozy, very involved, a little bit scary, but a total success. I’ll be posting about it later this week.
I really think that weekends need to be extended to Monday. I am so unmotivated to do some schoolwork that NEEDS to be done before we go away. I am always unmotivated on Mondays.
I need a swift kick in the butt….
I think you need to make a side trip to Nashville this weekend. That’s all I have to say.
