For me the weekend got off to a rocky start. Adam Goldstein, “DJ AM,” passed away on Friday. I never knew him personally, but my family did, and without doing into detail all I can say is that he recently helped out someone in my family. When my sister called to tell me the tragic news, my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach and I immediately started praying… not just for Adam’s family, but for my family. I pray that my family member remains strong throughout this terribly rough time and remembers that we all love him. My Mom summed the situation up in a quote from Albert Einstein: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.’ We are all learning, living, and hoping. Please do the same. =0)
On a brighter note, Mr. H’s dad had a great birthday! We bought him some grill tools, grill seasoning, cigars, and a few framed pictures from our e-pics. The H’s were very excited about those! Mr. H and I accomplished a few things on Saturday that we are very proud of:
1. Bought my rehearsal dinner dress at BCBG for an amazing deal – think $300 less than the original price. I’m currently hunting for a picture of it so I can show you all.
2. We both purchased a few items for our honeymoon – bathing suits, dresses (me), shirts (him)
(While Mr. H found his things at an actual store, I did a little online shopping… I bought the white/green sandals b/c they match our wedding, the swimsuit in camel, and also a lilac bandeau/tanga bikini! Thank you Vicky S.)
3. Mr. H found a whole suit for our wedding ceremony!!! (Note: He only had pants and could not for the life of him find a jacket that matched or fit!)
4. We decided on our first dance song… YAY!!! I am not going to tell you though, don’t want anyone stealing it, hehehe…j/k. We want it to be a surprise.
Tomorrow is the first day of September!! That means 3 days til our trip to CT, 2 (or 3) bridal showers, college football, DIY bridesmaids gifts, and… my birthday!!!

I’m so sorry for your family member with DJ AM’s tragic death. It is always so very hard to reconcile when a young person dies so very suddenly. My prayers and thoughts are with your family, his, and everyone in mourning.
