Annabelle is so lucky to have SO many people in her life who care about her. However, the majority of the people who love her to pieces live far away. My family lives in Connecticut – which puts us about 800 miles apart – and her Dad’s family lives in various states, some of which require plane rides to visit.
Since Annabelle is so small and her tiny brain is constantly being bombarded with new information, we work hard to remind her of the family members she cannot see everyday. From phone calls to photo messages to video calls, it just never seems like there is enough. Then we heard about CloudPets™ – one of the coolest inventions for long distance families – and sending a little voice message never seemed so easy.
My Mom and Brandon’s Mom can only come to visit every couple of months. While they are here, they try to make the most of their time with Annabelle, teaching her songs, practicing ABCs, reading stories together, etc. When Noni and Nana leave, Annabelle talks about them for days. She asks to call them on the phone, but sometimes her favorite ladies are working and she is sad she can’t hear their voice. There is nothing worse than trying to explain voicemail to a 21 month old.
It’s not just her Nana and Noni that Annabelle misses – she has Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents who live all along the East Coast. The first few days we are away from family after a great visit together, Annabelle doesn’t understand where everyone has gone. We have a big photo album we like to look at together, but as mentioned before, sometimes she just wants to hear her Auntie Lizzie or Cousin Finn’s voice. All this can be made possible with Annabelle’s CloudPets™.
So what are CloudPets™? They are a message you can hug. One of the coolest features of Annabelle’s CloudPets™ is that anyone with an internet connection, a smartphone, and the CloudPets™ App, can send Annabelle a voice message. Then Annabelle can send her family and friends a message in return! Its like talk texting, but you can save all of the messages in a mailbox on the App so she can listen to them anytime she wants. Whether it’s a funny song from Noni or even a quick Hello from Daddy who is working late, Annabelle loves hearing from her favorite people.
CloudPets™ are one of Annabelle’s newest stuffed animal friends. Her black and white kitty is a one stop communication spot that with the help of a parent can send and receive voice message love notes.
The Kitty can be found at Walmart in the toys section, aisle I 28, alongside an Energizer Battery pallet display since three AA batteries are required for the CloudPets™ to work properly.
Once we had our CloudPets™ home, all Annabelle needed was Mommy or Daddy’s phone with the CloudPets™ App and bluetooth service. We immediately contacted Noni, so she could send Annabelle her first official message. CloudPets™ are truly a one of kind product that keeps loved ones in touch when they’re far away.
The program is so easy to use, but there is a great How It Works video on the CloudPets™ website in case you’re having trouble setting up your own CloudPets™. I love how there are parental features to monitor your child’s activity – a password can be set to access the Adult Dashboard and you can require adult approval on each message before it is delivered to your child’s inbox. The features can be set through the adult screen on the easy-to-use App.
I think Annabelle’s CloudPets™ Kitty is going to be one of her favorite pals. It isn’t easy living far away from our family and friends, but it sure is incredible how technology can seem to lessen the distance between us. I would love to hear how you would use CloudPets™ for someone you love!

This is an amazing idea! I live so so far away from my nephew. It would be GREAT to be able to give him something like this during Christmas! xoxo
