How oh how is Annabelle officially two years old? I’ve actually avoided writing a post about her turning two because it is just one of those emotional roads I would rather not go down, but eventually I am going to since I love having her childhood documented.
Annabelle has had quite the celebration for her second birthday. For the last few days she has opened lots of presents, blown out many candles, and eaten a lot of cupcakes. I was thrilled to have my friend Christiana at her birthday party on Saturday taking photos – we can’t wait to see them! Yesterday was Annabelle’s real birthday and she had a blast. We took her to Avalon (her favorite place) and they treated her like a Princess with a special bag of goodies, a birthday pin, AND a free ride on the Choo Choo Train.
We also brought Annabelle to Barnes and Noble for the first time. My mom and I watched her run through the children’s section choosing books to read. I just love how much she loves books – she takes after her Momma for sure. Her Noni bought her two birthday books and I think we have started a new tradition.
The number of cupcakes this girl has devoured for her birthday is record breaking. Her Daddy bought her two special pink cupcakes for her birthday morning and birthday night.
We took Annabelle to Hibachi for her birthday since she LOVES the “fire place.” She ate a ton of chicken, shrimp, and rice. She LOVED when they came out to sing to her, but we were all so caught up in the song we didn’t take a video.
Super excited to see the fire show… but not too thrilled about the fire all around her. There were two other toddlers at our table who felt the same way about the fire. But once it was over, they cheered and clapped for more.
Our Hibachi chef for the evening.
Ever since I received our first American Girl doll catalog in the mail after Annabelle was born, I counted down the days until she was old enough to have one of her own. Since she has so many baby dolls, we knew the Bitty Twins would be a perfect addition to her baby collection. She says one of the girls is named Gaby but the other one is unnamed. We have a feeling she will choose Reese since 1.that’s her cousin’s name and 2. its her favorite name for her baby dolls. Annabelle’s Noni and Py got her the double stroller and Annabelle is happier than we have ever seen her! Her Aunt Christine and Uncle Jesse got her a baby bag with diapers she can use on the twins, plus some more goodies for the girls that she will get at Christmas. However… now she says the girls need a bed, so maybe Santa needs to work on that.
Annabelle’s birthday celebration will continue for a few more days since she has a couple more presents arriving in the mail. I know someday she will be sad her birthday is so close to Christmas, but for now, this girl has the BEST birthday month ever!
