Brandon and I decided it would be fun to take a Babymoon with Annabelle and my Mom. Baby A arrives in August, so we rented a condo in Sandestin, Florida for five days. Here is a recap of our trip!
I prepared for the Babymoon for weeks making lists so that we would have everything we needed once we got down to Florida. The weather ended up being vacation perfect, sunny with low humidity and a little breeze every day but our last. We could not have imagined a more fun trip together and I am so happy my Mom was with us to make these long lasting memories.
I spent a lot of time chatting with my little beach baby. I felt so bad I could not lift her and play with her in the ocean like I wanted to! Thankfully her Noni and Daddy swam with her until her fingers were pruned.
Hanging out with my BBQ Baked Lays Queen. Check out these Tips for Babies and Toddlers at the Beach.
My Mom and I outside of Red Bar at Grayton Beach – one of the BEST restaurants in the Panhandle. I highly recommend you get there early and bring cash!
Being silly with Daddy after dinner. These two are my favorite.
“Look Mommy – a shell!” –
Note to self: Don’t store shells from the beach in your purse. You’ll forget they are there and then wonder why you smell like a dead fish for a week. Not a way to end a babymoon.
One of my favorite sites is seeing these two walk hand in hand.
Sometimes she turns on the charm and others… we get this.
Swimming in the beach club pool with my little guppy. She has become so independent while wearing her swimmies this summer already!
Where to Stay:
If you’re planning a trip to Sandestin (or Destin) and want to rent a condo, check out Destin Memories and request a property from Tania Alini. She was fabulous to work with! We stayed at the Beachside II condos in Sandestin – it had a private pool, small on-site gym, free shuttle, and private beach access. We paid for an umbrella and chairs to be set up on the beach daily, but you could always bring your own (or use what the condo might have!).
Where to Eat:
Every time we go to Destin we eat at Crab Trap (go early!), The Red Bar, Barefoot Beachside Bar and Grill at the Hilton, and Cantina Laredo. Other great stops: Pompano Joe’s for lunch and Another Broken Egg Cafe for brunch.

What a nice vacation! I’m so jealous! With baby arriving (hopefully) in the next 12 days, we won’t get one this year 🙁 … I’m already planning next year’s beach trip in my head. Just wanted to add, your Mom looks beautiful on the beach 🙂 Glad you guys had a great time.
