I have decided to go with a bear theme for my classroom (for obvious reasons). I have this whole week to turn it from a former 2nd grade room into Mrs. Bear’s Cozy Den.

Does anyone know of any great websites where I can find bear themed classroom stuff?
OR does anyone artistic/creative want to make me something? =0)
Specifically: nametags, desktags, calendar, bulletin board themes, behavior chart, bean bags
I taught first grade and LOVED it! They are so precious…I would subscribe to “The Mailbox” if you haven’t already. It’s really helpful and has TONS of ideas…even board decorations! Also suggestion for name tags, use a dye cut bear and write names on those and laminate and put on a string. You could even use different color bears to use for groups later…just a thought.Feel free to email anytime, I am no pro but could maybe help some…[email protected] Good Luck!
I’m sure you’ve tried Etsy. What about Oriental Trading? We have some teacher stores around here, but I don’t know of any websites. The classroom looks great! When does school start?

It looks like your school uses Open Court for reading??? That’s what we use too!! I’m not a fan so far, but I’ve heard good things about it from the other teachers. I’ll be interested to hear what you think!
I’ve seen some really cute bear themed bulletin board stuff at our local teacher store. There will be tons of cute stuff to buy and make I’m sure. Just be sure to save you receipts. I easily spent $3000 my first year, but you can deduct a portion or all of it (depending on the state) from your taxes!

This company has the cutest bear stuff DJ Inkers…they have a website but I’m sure you could find some at your local teacher store. Also check out teacherspayteachers.com and teaching oasis for stuff you can automatically download to your computer 🙂
