Today I’m sharing a romantic fall engagement story.
Last weekend my sweet sister got ENGAGED!
Her boyfriend of about a million years sent her on quite the little scavenger hunt Saturday morning. He told her he had a special birthday surprise planned and ended up knocking her socks off with an incredible proposal in the middle of a pond (in front of everyone they both love – me on FaceTime).
The proposal was complete with champagne toasts, lots of cheers from the crown, and dramatic tossing of large white cards into the water. Dean had Tine’s ring made based off of some ideas she’s given him the past year. Even though she knew they would eventually get married, she had NO clue he would pop the question this year. Her ring is white and yellow gold with a halo and braided shoulders. The center diamond is a round cut estate diamond. To say that it is beautiful would be an understatement – it is FLIPPIN’ GORGEOUS.
The lovebirds are real life High School Sweethearts. I’ve known Dean for many years and have always thought he was perfect for Tine – they just had a lot of growing up to do before they became serious. In January 2006 (Tine’s senior year and Dean’s junior year), they officially started dating. Now 8 1/2 years later they’ve made it official and wedding bells are ringing! Since Tine is practically my sister, Dean will practically be my brother-in-law. My sister, Lizzie, her boyfriend, Ryan, Brandon, and I have the best time with Tine and Dean. When the six of us get together, the laughing never ceases to end. I can’t even describe how excited I am for these two kids. I love them both oh-so-much and cannot wait to see them tie the knot!
For your viewing pleasure, here are some photos from their past. High school, college, and present time all mixed together. Enjoy!
