I have this pair of flats that I bought from Tar-jay for about $4.99 almost 2 years ago. They look like this:
They are very cute, very comfy, and very… unstable. The toe on both shoes is splitting so that it looks like there is a funny little face with an open mouth at the end of my footsies. My first graders have all noticed this – told me that my shoe is broken – laughed when I said it was supposed to look like that – and I continue to wear them. What do first graders know anyways?
I can’t bring myself to throw them out because they are so trust worthy and fashion forward. I also can’t find another pair for the same steal that look like it.
Do you have a pair of shoes that are beat up, raggedy, smelly or embarrassing that you just can’t say ta-ta to?
I’ve been known to use super glue to hold together my shoes. Sad, I know.
I’m having the same flats dilemma. Mine were really cheap, are getting really old, and need to be replaced. Let me know if you find any good ones!

Ohhhh it is soo tough to let go of favorite shoes! Those ARE super cute! Then again…kids are VERY honest so if THEY are tell you something is off with them…you may just have to have a good bye party…boo hoo!!!:(
The boots I’m wearing today! The bottom heel is missing part of the rubber, but I just love them! I know I could get them fixed, but I don’t want to be without them for two weeks. It will just have to wait until the summer…which is what I said last year…
oh girl i have some flats that need to GO!! (got em at marshalls for like 12 bucks) Somehow I just keep wearing them, thank goodness i don’t have 1st graders to call me out. Just ugly faces from fashionistas walkin down the street lol.

I totally do! They are just so comfy and I haven’t been able to find another pair to replace them.
I have two pairs of boots that are like that. They are my FAVORITE boots on earth and I just pray each winter that they will make it through another season. I have come to the conclusion that next time I find a pair of boots that I love I am going to buy multiple pairs.
PS- I love me some Target flats….I have two pairs that I love!
