It’s here it’s here! September is finally here! Girls all across America are busting out their Fall decorations and ordering pumpkin spice lattes without any shame. Some are even dressing in their newest Autumn attire even though its still 85 outside. I know my Instagram is going to blow up with fashion bloggers fall favorites any day now… I’ve always loved September and blogged about September’s greatness (which is a close second to December in my book of favorite months).
I’m not gonna lie, I always feel like after Labor Day summer is over and done with and secretly want to put on a warm sweater and cords. Unfortunately, since I live in Georgia it will remain warm here for quite some time, and I will be forced to show my pale stems. Many people will keep their pools open for awhile… but I have no desire to lay by a pool anymore. Not until May 2016 when I need a tan for my sister’s wedding. Since I can keep the thermostat in my classroom below 70, I can start dressing for cooler weather.
Today I start my official countdown – 23 days left in my twenties. I’ve started a blog post about how my life has drastically changed during the last decade, but it’s kind of been hard to write. I have a feeling that hitting the big 3-0 milestone is not going to be easy for me… there is something sad about leaving my twenties. It’s been a decade to remember with more changes than I probably ever thought possible. I considered making a 30 Things To Do in 30 Days Before I am 30, but missed the boat on that one. Maybe I can do 30 things before I’m 30 in 23 days? I’ll brainstorm a list and get back to you on that one.
Anyways, I brewed a cup of coffee loaded with pumpkin spices, so I am currently sipping on my own version of a Pumpkin Coffee. It’s delicious. The temps were below 70 and I’m watching the sun slowly rise from my classroom window. It looks like its going to be a beautiful first day of September.
I hit 30 in 18 days … I’m not sure how I feel about it either. I’m really not.
I also feel like Labor day is the end of summer. I am excited about Fall because I love the crisp cool weather it brings!!!
I turned 30 in March. I’ve always had a hard time with turning older so I was shocked at how well my 30th came and went. I realized that the things I missed were things like my younger body, etc… but that I wouldn’t trade my older MIND for anything! Everyone always says the 30s are your best years… I have a feeling they’re right. 🙂
