My weekend was pretty wonderful. I spent time with my lovies, but also had almost 24 hours BY MYSELF. I have not been alone since before Annabelle was born – and even then I wasn’t technically alone since I had a tiny baby in my belly.
I slept just like this Saturday night… I had our whole California King to myself.
I treated myself to a mani/pedi and told the nail technician I wasn’t in a rush… for the first time in years. I didn’t even take out my phone (hence the lack of a picture). I just relaxed.
Afterwards, I met my friend Courtni for lunch at Avalon, went to my school’s Welcome Back picnic, and bought myself a new toy.
I watched Aloha before bed and it sucked. I thought Bradley Cooper, Rachel McAdams, Emma Stone, and Bill Murray would be great together, but the movie was just weird. Don’t waste your time!
On Sunday, my little family returned home and we enjoyed what turned out to be a gorgeous day together. I make meatballs and sauce from scratch, ziti, and a big salad for dinner. It actually felt a little like Fall! I was planning on waiting until after Labor Day to decorate, but now I feel an itch to get out the mini pumpkins and orange mantle decor.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Tomorrow is the first day of September… and will begin my countdown to the end of my 20s. I have a feeling my 30th birthday will be here before I know it.

I saw Aloha in theaters and was so excited about the cast of characters, but it was so terrible! You’re right- the whole thing was just weird. So disappointing!

I was just wondering about Aloha the other day for some random reason. If Bradley Cooper can’t save it, nothing can.
