I can’t bring myself to write Ailey’s ONE YEAR post just yet… I am having trouble accepting that she is no longer __ months old and now a stinkin’ one year old. We celebrated August 15th with pizza and cake – both foods she loves (actually she is a fan of pretty much everything edible… and some things inedible). Since Tuesday, I feel like she has already changed quite a bit… spouting off a new word “Bubble” quite proudly and figuring out how to crawl up the entire staircase to the second floor before we can stop her are just two things she’s accomplished.

Last Friday I mentioned my struggles while dress shopping for a wedding in a few weeks. I found the PERFECT dress at Anthropologie for 20% off. Now I just have to figure out my shoe situation…
three. no kids allowed.
I am going away with ADULTS ONLY for a whole week in September and I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself. Brandon and I are attending a wedding in Arizona for a few days and then scooting off to Mexico for his work trip. Our getaway is much needed with all that’s been going on in our lives. Lately I find myself pulling at my eyelashes by 1pm and wishing we could all take a family nap until dinnertime… so this trip is going to be a whole lotta lettin loose.

We sold our house!!! A lot of changes are about to happen – most of which are still under wraps right now – but what I can tell you is that the Houstons are moving! To where?? Well, you’ll just have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
