When I think about shoes made to provide all-day support, I picture a sneaker. In case you didn’t know this, I only wear sneakers when I’m doing physical activity and that’s not often. I NEED comfortable stylish shoes when I’m chasing around my daughters though! Imagine my surprise when I discovered Earth Shoes, designed to enhance the natural movement of your foot without looking like running footwear.
Fact: I haven’t been to a real shoe store in years. Last week I visited FootPrints in Newington, CT to check out the Earth collection and I cannot wait to go back. Not only does FootPrints carry countless shoe brands for the whole family, but also accessories like handbags and jewelry. Shopping for Spring with Earth Shoes at FootPrints was such an enjoyable experience. I’ve never met a staff that’s so friendly, so willing to help, and working with the intentions of ensuring YOU are happy.
If you live in Connecticut I highly recommend taking a trip to FootPrints in Newington. Not only is their service impeccable, but you might learn a thing or two about your feet.
After choosing a few of Earth’s spring styles, my very own FootPrints staff member measured my foot. Apparently I’ve been buying the wrong size for quite some time now… since I always purchased a 7. She explained my foot measures size 6, but with my arch I could wear a size 6.5 depending on the style of the shoe.
Every pair of Earth shoes that I tried on were comfortable, even the block heels. The footbed of an Earth shoe contains a padded heel, arch support, and premium lining with plush and firm cushioning
Another reason behind the extreme comfort of a pair of Earth shoes: the Powerpath footbed. As a Mom who is constantly on her feet running after her daughters every time she leaves the house, I need shoes that are comfortable. ThePowerpath footbed design enhances the natural movement of the foot and absorbs energy, stabilizing the foot and propelling the foot off the ground effortlessly.
Leather Straps as Soft as Butter
I brought home the Ficus Sagittarius shoes – they are soft, chic, and the ankle strap feels like butter around your ankle. They come in an assortment of colors and are the perfect casual but stylish shoe for the summer.
Comfortable Platform Heeled Sandal in Green
The second pair of shoes that I brought home is the Oak Chestnut – a comfortable platform heeled sandal. The olive green straps caught my eye, as well as the platform feature. I find that platforms are so much easier to walk in. Other features I love: the straps are soft and the footbed is cushioned.

I know, it’s crazy to think of the last time I actually went into a shoe store and left with a pair of shoes! I think if you are usually buying a seven that is probably because that is the size you feel most comfortable in, and shoe widths vary greatly. Comfort brands often run wider from what I’ve noticed and you might have been go with 7s to get that extra width. I’m glad you found a few styles you love which are cute and still let you keep up with your kiddos in!
