Looking for dairy free holiday recipes? Here are a few of my favorite dairy free recipes for the holidays.
This year I am working a little harder at planning my Christmas Eve/Day dinner menu that in the past. Most of my favorite holiday dishes contain milk, butter, or cheese, and this year we are all eating dairy free. I’ve done my research, and found that most of my dishes can be made dairy free!! Here are some of my favorite recipes without the dairy.
Dairy Free Holiday Recipes
Scalloped Potatoes – My Grandma Lewis used to make the BEST Scalloped Potatoes. I’ve used her recipe for years, and B and I can eat a whole dish in one sitting. This recipe doesn’t have any cheese – but I think I could sprinkle a bit of Daiya Cheddar on top!
Quiche – This Asparagus and Leek Quiche looks delish. I am not a fan of Coconut Milk, so I wonder if you could sub Almond milk? Also… my Mom is the Queen of Quiche and she says I can make any of her recipes without milk and cheese. I am trying her Spinach and Red Pepper Quiche sans Moo on Christmas morning!
Stuffing (or dressing…) – Most stuffing recipes call for melted butter, however I made my own stuffing using Earth Balance and it tasted just as amazing as my Mother-in-Law’s dressing. Here is a recipe for Southern Stuffed Cornbread Stuffing and a Simple Vegan Stuffing.
Gravy – There’s no reason that your turkey/roast should suffer if you are dairy free. Here is a Vegan Gravy recipe by Jamie Oliver.
Dessert – Everyone loves Pumpkin Pie on the holidays, but sometimes I like something with a little chocolate and a little peanut butter. I blogged about For Goodness Cakes in the past after they sent me a pie for my birthday. Check them out – they are AMAZING and totally dairy free.
